Just in case anyone was interested, I thought I would post a few pictures of Brisbane (more specifically of downtown and the area that we live in for now).
These were taken when we first arrived, as we took a little walk to explore, but I just never got around to posting them.
There are many walking paths along the river.
There are also lots of parks and BBQ's along the river. The Aussies love their "Barbie's" as they call them, and you will see public BBQ's along the river and also at the beaches!
The express motorways along the river, quite the complicated drive--especially the downtown!!

They have Fast Cats (ferry's) that run daily on the river. We decided to take the tour one evening and it is quite a long ride, but very pretty at night!
I do have more to post, but for some reason the blogger and I are fighting and it will not let me post anymore pictures......so I will post more later.

Thanks for the city pictures! A ferry ride would be pretty. Do they have good public transit? Will this be the city John goes to school in? Thanks for posting - I know it's hard when you are far away but we love hearing your news!
